In addition to his acting career, Charles has also appeared on the screen and stage as a singer, musician, and songwriter. Growing up to the tunes of Elvis Presley, Kirk Franklin, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, John Williams, and Hans Zimmer — Luke found a deep love for jazz, gospel, rock, pop, and film compositions early on. Exposed to the stage at 11, Luke fell in love with the storytelling power of music, and took any chance he could to learn. Luke’s musical roots began playing saxophone in jazz bands, singing and dancing in show choirs, and acting in musicals early on. Charles later began singing gospel music, playing the piano, and music directing at Celebration Church in his small hometown of Anderson, Indiana. Charles took his first lead role in Cedar fair’s highest-grossing pop show, “Luminosity”, produced by Pepsi. In 2017, Luke moved from LA to New York to make his broadway debut in "Home for the Holidays". Luke can be seen next in “Captain 80’s”, a musical film directed by Todd Tucker.
